The USB2-F-5001 provides a simple method of adapting legacy serial devices with RS485 interfaces to modern USB ports. This is accomplished by incorporating the industry standard FTDI FT232R USB-Serial bridge chip. Each USB2-F-5001 adapter contains a small internal electronic circuit board which utilises the FTDI FT232R, mounted inside a rugged plastic enclosure capable of withstanding industrial temperature ranges. The integrated electronics also include RS485 level shifters and TXD/RXD LEDs to provide a visual indication of data traffic through the adapter.

C# Trigger event?

After reading the ports correctly, I am having another problem.

What I am trying to implement is a trigger made by a pushbutton on the U401 be detectable on my c# program. Now this is more of a C# question as I understand but, is there any way to attach an event (OnChange) to the ReadA / ReadB methods?

Hello, two questions:

I've declared my C# ReadA/ReadB declaration as follows:

public static extern int USBm_ReadA(int Device, byte

public static extern int USBm_ReadB(int Device, byte[] inBuf);

But when I use it on my project (I have B4-B7 as inputs), I can't get a value of any pushbutton. Using the appfiles it works (in visual basic).

Is the import correct?

Precision timing using U401.

Any ideas on how to accurately measure the time from when one port bit goes high followed by when another port bit goes high. I'd like to have .0001 sec resolution. I thought about maybe using a PIC for the timing but was wondering if there was something more simple.
